Poem spiritual - 2nd Coming

Somehow we’ve been brainwashed
Only ‘matter’ is real
Yet when God talks to us
We don’t touch him; we feel:


The good deeds people do
The works they inspire
The extremes of coincidence
When the spirit suspires


The wisest of souls
Without fame or renown
Who transform our world
Just by being around


Folks will yearn for the future
You can tell they’re sincere
But God isn’t coming --
She’s already here
