poem - Eternity Survived
Eternity Survived
(Work in progress)
I walked and suddenly
Perfect light
Perfect birdsong, perfect breeze
I understood everything, yet nothing
I was everywhere, yet nowhere
So I sat
Eternity settled on, and in, the landscape
One passed by and proclaimed the merits of
Manicuring one’s lawn endlessly
Until the soaps start
Eternity survived
One passed by reminding her companion
Of the reality of current illusions
And her need to keep repeating this
Eternity survived
Eternity survives
I felt the need to tell

Number, I thanks ya fer wantin me opinun on yer new pome, "Eternity Survived". But since I enjoys all yer pomes I wud not be an imparshall criteek. It did remind me of the time I downed a bottle a Jimmy's Belly Burner Rye. As I lay in a heap I starts thinkin I understands evrthin an nothin, was everwhere yet nowhere. Ya must a drained a bottle yerself to be able to describes the feelin. I'm thinkin ya has more talent in yer little finger than most have in their entire bodies and that's a fact. An if'n anyone don't think so I'll put me boot up their ---well, I'll not say it fer Percy is takin a nap I don't wants to wake em.
Gooddee Number.
